Web designer in Deal Kent

I am a web designer in Deal, Kent, and I love helping local businesses create websites that truly represent who they are. I moved here around five years ago and fell in love with the seaside charm and friendly community. Deal is full of creative entrepreneurs, speakers, and small businesses doing incredible things, but many don’t have a website that reflects their quality or story.
Me and my approach as a web designer
I care about you and your business. Each website I design and build starts with me getting to know you, your business, and most importantly, your potential clients. Having this information is critical to designing the best website possible for you.
I’ll take everything we discuss and create your wireframes (a black and white version that focuses on the content), then we’ll have a round of feedback before I start to design and build your website. This is when it comes to life, and you’ll be able to test it out, give feedback, and prepare for it to go live.
Websites are living things, so I’ll make sure you have tutorials on how to use your website, which you can refer back to whenever you need. If you need extra help moving forward, I’ll always be in your corner.
I specialise in helping small businesses, speakers, artists, and therapists in and around Deal. I focus on creating websites that turn visitors into clients and help you grow your business online.

I met Bab’s from Ceremony City at Ladies Who Latte in Deal, which is a small networking event held each month at The Royal Hotel. We got along very well, and after speaking, we set up a time to improve her website. We worked together on her current site to make it more modern, structured, and consistent. Read the full case study here.
Laura from Any Something Photography asked if I could help her by analysing her website and showing where it could be improved, so I gave her a website audit, and this is what she had to say:
"Mel audited my website for me for SEO. Her instructions were clear, concise, and user-friendly for someone not as confuident in SEO. They were actionable, and I saw a noticeable difference in my analytics. I would highly recommend Mel, who really is a supportive partner for people who need efficient websites"

Andy Watts, a photographer from Folkestone, Kent, came to me with a Shopify website he had built himself. It did the job, but it wasn’t structured in a way that reflected his talent, and he didn’t feel confident promoting it. I redesigned his website using my process, and here’s what he had to say.
I asked Mel to develop and build a new website for my business. I had previously used a Shopify platform and tried, without success, to build and maintain it myself. Online sales were non existent as the site I had built was difficult to navigate and lacked any real direction. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted my website to look like and Mel took that vision and created something far better than I could have ever wished for. I used to be embarrassed to share my website details with people but now I am actively encouraging all of my customers to visit it. I now feel confident in my brand, sales have increased and I feel like my business is progressing in a more professional way. I cannot thank Mel enough for all her hardwork and all in less than a month from start to finish!
