When Babs approached me, she was already using Weebly to manage her website—a platform with its own set of limitations. Despite those constraints, we were able to achieve a significant refresh that brought clarity, cohesion, and a more professional feel to her online presence.

The first step was addressing the visual and navigational inconsistencies that were impacting user experience. I redesigned the navigation banner to be cleaner and more intuitive, restructured the layout of her pages for better flow, and applied a consistent colour palette across the site to strengthen her brand identity. These changes helped create a more unified and accessible experience for her visitors.

During our initial strategy conversation, Babs shared her desire to provide more value to her audience and clients. From that, the idea of starting a blog emerged. I supported her in setting this up on her existing platform, giving her a space to share her insights and build a content library she could refer back to when working with clients.

Collaboration was key to this project. Babs and I met twice in person during the refresh process to review progress and finesse the details. Together, we ensured that the imagery throughout the site reflected not just her work, but her personality.

This refresh wasn’t about reinventing the wheel, but about making the most of the tools already in place. With thoughtful design decisions and a focus on user experience, Babs now has a more strategic and polished online presence that better supports her goals and her audience.
